Though my feelings will never sway on abortion, I think that many impressionable minds would be.

I agree with Ms. Pestel and others that the images in question which were used for the anti-abortion protest were quite disturbing. Younger members of our college community who are not quite as aware may think that this is the only way in which abortions are performed.

Granted this type of thing is in practice. However, it is not as common as some very conservative people would have us believe.

Generally, this is a last resort and mostly used in instances of retardation that can't be detected until later in a fetuses development.

Late-term abortion is disturbing, but the fact of the matter is that it is still the choice of the individual and that choice will never be taken away.

This choice is a horrible burden and will stay with the person for the rest of their lives. I encourage the conservative members of our college community to invest some time into studying the death rates and state of things before Roe v. Wade has put into action.

In closing, I feel a strong connection with the statements of Ms. Pestel and applaud her willingness to open herself to the scathing e-mails that I am sure she has now fallen victim to.
