During summer break, remember Cindy Song

This past academic year has been tough on the Penn State community.

A number of students have died and have left the campus physically, but will still be remembered.

Their individual situations have had some closure.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for Cindy Song. Song has been missing since Nov. 1, and for her family, friends and the campus at large there has not been an end to the story.

No evidence has been shown to prove that Song lives or not. Her loved ones just must continue on, using determination as their motivation.

The school year is rapidly coming to a close. Lessons learned in the classroom might soon leave students' minds after final exams.

People are planning their vacations or finalizing an internship or job.

Before we all go our separate ways, we should not forget that one Penn Stater is missing. Regardless of the fact that the spring semester is ending, the case of Cindy Song is not concluding.

The pain and anguish that remains will not subside quickly, and by keeping Song somewhere in our brains, maybe one person out of the 40,000 students on campus can make a difference and help bring some closure for all involved.
