The students who have died in the last year will be remembered during a multifaith service at 12:15 today in Schwab Auditorium.
The service will feature readings from spiritual leaders and students, and music from the Penn State Glee Club.
For three minutes before the service, the Old Main chimes will ring, and after the service, they will ring once for each student who has died since July 1, 2001.
The service, which is open to the public, will be followed by a tribute to all those who have died in the university's history.
Following the memorial service, students will lead a dedication ceremony for a plaque in memory of all the students who have died over the years. The plaque will be located in the southeastern corner of the HUB lawn near a red oak tree.
Family members of the students who have died will receive oak tree seedlings.
