Penn State celebrates Space Day tomorrow

Penn State will celebrate Space Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow in the HUB-Robeson Center. Scientists, engineers and students will give presentations and present hands-on exhibits about the Earth, air and space.

Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) solar system ambassador Brock Pronko will present "Unearthing the Mysteries of Mars" at 11 a.m., and former astronaut Jim Pawelczyk, assistant professor of kinesiology and physiology, will speak on living and working in space at noon and 1 p.m.

Students who attend Space Day will have their signatures launched on a shuttle mission in the fall as part of NASA's "Signatures in Space" program.
