SHRA to host Great Southern Festival; bands scheduled to perform all day

The South Halls Residence Association will be holding its Great Southern Festival from noon to 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The Festival is being held at the corner of Mifflin and McKean Streets behind Simmons Hall.

Various local bands are scheduled to perform throughout the day. Axum will kick off the festivities at noon, and Even Further will close the festival at 6 p.m.

Other bands scheduled to play include: Boost, Human Genome Project, Gun Runnin Amish and Furious Styles. Each band's set will last for 45 minutes.

Free cotton candy and snow cones will also be given out.

In addition, Simmons Dining Commons is allowing meals to be taken outside.
