Famed trio, quartet to play Eisenhower

The Kalichstein-Laredo-Robinson Trio and Emerson String Quartet will perform at 8 tomorrow night in Eisenhower Auditorium as part of the Center for the Performing Arts' Chamber Music series.

The performance will include pieces by Beethoven, Brahms, Wolf and Schoenberg. Featuring a piano, cello and violin, the trio has released multiple CDs and was named Musical America's 2002 Ensemble of the Year during its 25th anniversary season.

Emerson String Quartet -- cellist David Finckel and violinists Eugene Drucker, Philip Setzer and Lawrence Dutton -- won Grammys for best classical album and best chamber performance.

Tickets for the performance are available at the Arts Ticket Center or by phone at 863-0255. Section one and two prices are $24 and $20 for the general public, $20 and $16 for students, $10 and $6 for University Park students and $12 and $9 for children 12 and younger.
