'Big Trouble'

Big Trouble has been through more trouble than it's worth.

Originally slated for a Sept. 13 release, the film was pushed back after the 9-11 tragedy. And for good reasons.

The screwball farce features a bomb, an airplane and lax airport security.

Big Trouble boasts a talented ensemble cast and veteran director Barry Sonnenfeld, but it's only a mediocre movie triggering a couple giggles and many "what the...?"s.

Tim Allen, Rene Russo, Jason Lee, Janeane Garofolo and Stanley Tucci are just a few name-brand actors donating their talent to this dimly illogical and bizarre comedy.

Big Trouble is a twisted Miami-set comedy caper with plenty of violence. It tells the story of how one bomb-containing-suitcase tangles up the lives of a posse of disgruntled, bumbling characters, including a divorced dad, a Fritos-eating bum, two hit-men and a sexy, dissatisfied housewife.

If you can get past the absurdity of goats flooding a highway, cops continuously mistaking a Super Soaker for a real revolver, and the frequent Martha Stewart references, Big Trouble could be a movie for you.

Big Trouble is mildly amusing, but not worth the trouble of paying seven bucks.
