Yesterday afternoon, President George W. Bush visited Delaware County campus to unveil his new education initiative and promote his message — early childhood education is critical to academic success later on in life.

Amid the rowdiness, laughter, applause and overall revelry of last night's final Undergraduate Student Government Senate meeting, one face was noticeably absent from the festivities.

The university is strongly considering a graduated-tuition plan, Penn State President Graham Spanier told the University Faculty Senate March 26.

About one in 10 female students has been abused, but that number might be higher because the respondents might not have understood what constitutes sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking, according to a recent Penn State Pulse survey.

At least 10,000 people walk by and comment on the fish tank located on the ground floor of the HUB-Robeson Center daily, Robert Minard, adviser to the project said, adding what they see is the result of a "very successful project."

In the words of Penn State baseball coach Joe Hindelang, sometimes focus can be hard to find.

After a six week absence from the lineup, Zack Smithlin immediately made his contributions felt, as he helped the Nittany Lions to a 9-6 victory over Cornell yesterday afternoon at Beaver Field.

The No. 18 Penn State men's lacrosse team (3-4, 0-3 ECAC) will be back in action in a rare weekday contest tonight at 7, against the University of Delaware (2-5, 0-0 CAA) at Jeffrey Field.

No games are easy games during the long haul of a softball season. The Penn State softball team knows how important each and every game is.

On Saturday, while at MARFU tournament in Princeton, the Penn State men's rugby team showed that "softy" didn't exist in its vocabulary.

The Penn State boxing team will send six fighters to contend for a national title in Annapolis, Md., today.
