This Sunday I will not be having Easter dinner with my relatives. I might have time to make it to church with them in the morning, but I've got to get straight in the car to tear back to State College that afternoon for classes on Monday as usual.
We all know Penn State refuses to give off for any religious holidays for fear of offending people who aren't of that religion. As a result, holidays of many different religions are wrongly overlooked.
But the university should not ignore the fact that many of its students do celebrate Easter and are not from State College. Call it a second spring break, call it a study day, call it some politically correct name. Just give us the day off instead of pretending that Easter doesn't exist for some students.
