Fraternities, sororities offer diversity series

Various fraternities and sororities will present a series of programs designed to foster greater diversity awareness at Penn State this week.

The 14th annual Ebony and Ivory Week will focus on the cultural relation issues created by the events of Sept. 11, according to a press release.

"Red, White, and Blue ... How American Are You?" is a discussion to be held at 7 tonight in the Pollock Rec Room on what it means to be American.

At 7 tomorrow night in Pollock Rec Room, students will have a chance to see what the lives of people with disabilities are like by watching videos of students spending a day in a wheelchair or on crutches.

Also included will be a cultural extravaganza and dance presentation at 6 p.m. Thursday in Heritage Hall in the HUB-Robeson Center, featuring speaker Marcia Gillespie, editor in chief of Ms Magazine.
