Volunteers take to streets this weekend

The AT&T Center for Service Leadership and Lions Share are sponsoring their monthly "Into the Streets" volunteer program tomorrow.

Into the Streets is a one-time volunteer opportunity for all groups and individuals interested in community service.

This month's opportunities include working outdoors for organizations such as Black Moshannon State Park, Boal Mansion Museum, Grace Lutheran Church and Greenwood Furnace State Park. Centre Crest needs volunteers to help with its Easter Carnival for the elderly, PAWS needs help cleaning its kitten adoption center and Strawberry Fields is looking for volunteers to visit and spend time with adults with disabilities.

The amount of volunteers needed and times for each project vary.

Anyone interested in registering for "Into the Streets" programs may do so Monday through Thursday by calling 863-4624, stopping by 210 HUB-Robeson Center, or visiting the Lions Share tables in Findlay Commons.
