The Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue 2002 Spring National Conference begins at 8 tonight at the Ramada Inn, 1450 S. Atherton St.
The conference will begin with registration and a vendor fair and will continue all day tomorrow with various events in Rec Hall and the Forum Building. Students from across the country will attend the series of workshops that will take place throughout the weekend.
The workshops' topics will include Filipino war veterans, environmental issues, Filipinos and minorities in the media, the martial art of Eskrima and Filipina women's issues.
At 5:30 p.m. tomorrow, there will be a competition of Tinikling and a national Filipino dance, in Rec Hall.
The conference will end on Sunday with a solidarity rally at 10 a.m. and religious ceremonies at 8 p.m.
