The Center for Environmental Chemistry and Geochemistry is hosting the 5th annual Environmental Chemistry symposium today and tomorrow.
The event will take place at 4:15 today in 26 Hosler, and at 9:15 a.m. tomorrow in Deike Building.
Today's keynote speaker will be Patrick MacCarthy from the Colorado School of Mines.
The event will consist of oral presentations and a poster presentation from student researchers.
Penn State students Frank von Willert (graduate-crop and soil sciences) and Courtney Turich (graduate-geosciences) organized the symposium.
Some of the other organizers include students from the Eberly College of Science, the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences, the College of Engineering and the College of Agricultural Sciences.
