Today's University Park forecast
mostly sunny Sunshine will cause high temperatures to occur this morning before a cold front draws in much cooler air during the afternoon and evening. Cold temperatures, brisk winds and snow flurries will make Friday feel like a return to winter. Temperatures will moderate slightly on Saturday under partly sunny skies as high pressure slides to the east. Sunday will remain dry but clouds will increase late in the day as a low pressure system develops in the Midwest.

Highlight

An impressive line of thunderstorms crossed the state of Texas Tuesday evening bringing heavy rain, large hail and tornadoes. In Marshall, a young boy drowned while playing near a rain-swollen creek. Golf ball size hail was observed in Laredo, Sand Angelo and Fort McKavett. Luckily, tornado damage was limited to a few destroyed mobile homes as the tornadoes touched down away from heavily populated areas.
