Basketball coach must make a name for self
After the dismal season the Penn State men's basketball team had, I feel that the university's athletic department should take a look around the country at another school's tactic to winning. Look at Texas Tech. The school hired the often-volatile head coach Bob Knight and now has begun winning. They hired a high-profile head coach who could bring in the big time recruits to a school that had no history of being a big time basketball team. I feel that Penn State should look into hiring another big name outspoken coach, Nolan Richardson. He has a winning history can bring in the big name recruits to a top facility in The Bryce Jordan Center. I'm not saying that Mr. Richardson would want the job or that Jerry Dunn is an incompetent coach. I am saying that Nolan Richardson has made himself a name and is a proven winner and Jerry Dunn can't compete with him for recruits to make a winning program. Elliott Stranzl
