A lawsuit filed Wednesday against Penn State alleges that the university did not adequately support and protect a sexual assault victim.

Kelly Harvey (sophomore-aerospace engineering), like many of her classmates, enjoys the convenience of living on campus. But unlike most on-campus residents, Harvey is 45 years old.

Over 150 customers and employees were evacuated Saturday morning from Wal-Mart, 1665 N. Atherton St., after violent winds collapsed a recently constructed wall, severing a gas line.

The Late Night Penn State policy requiring a student ID has led to some confusion and dissatisfaction among students, especially those with children.

Due to construction around campus, the 2002 senior class gift committee will carefully plan where to place this year's gift of historical street clocks, said Erica Schneider, overall chair of the committee.

Adult non-credit art classes, including Eastern painting, stained glass working, slide photography and fly tying, are being offered by The Center for Arts & Crafts at Penn State.

The Icers easily disposed of an overmatched No. 8 Kent State team 8-2 to reach the Final Four. There they kept their poise against No. 5 Iowa State for a 6-2 victory.

After a disappointing finish at the Big Ten tournament in 2001, the Penn State wrestling team improved in all aspects, this weekend.

The Penn State women's basketball team was one of six Big Ten teams selected to the 2002 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship Tournament. Portland's Lady Lions (21-11, 11-5 Big Ten) earned a No. 4 seed and the possibility of two home games at The Bryce Jordan Center.

The loss to Indiana ended what appeared to be a Penn State romp to the title. Earlier in the weekend the Lions stomped on seventh-seeded Ohio State 70-55 and sixth-seeded Wisconsin 76-62.

While she was making the hour-long trip from Bloomington, Heather Cassady knew the four most important days of her basketball life lie before her.

Ohio State (23-7, 11-5 Big Ten) was leading the crowd in cheers of O-H-I-O as they hoisted its first ever Big Ten tournament championship with an 81-64 win over upstart Iowa (19-15, 11-5) after also sharing the conference title for the regular season.

The ending of the Penn State men's basketball team's season almost sounds like it could be written into the script of a B movie.

As Penn State men's basketball coach Jerry Dunn has said all year, there is no mystery to the Nittany Lions' woes. Sure, some of it has to do with inexperience, but according to Dunn, it comes down to the fact that the opponents have been making the big shots the Lions haven't been.

The most dramatic game of the Big Ten tournament ended with two former Indiana high school stars in an emotional embrace on the court, with one of them in tears.

Despite scoring 20 goals in their four tournament games last weekend, the national champion ACHA Div. I Icers more impressively only allowed five goals.

The No. 20 Nittany Lions placed third, behind Minnesota and Michigan, in the Big Ten Championships held last weekend in Bloomington, Ind.

The Penn State softball team spent its break in sunny Florida playing quite a few games, but had just a little fun in compiling a 5-4 record over that time.

The Nittany Lions (4-7) came out of Deland, Fla., with a 1-5 record after facing some stiff competition.

The Penn State women's gymnastics team was busy this past week. After a loss to Nebraska on March 3, it was back to University Park to practice for Saturday night's tri-meet against Rhode Island and No. 21 Maryland.

Spring break began on a high note for the No. 16 Nittany Lions (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten), who pummeled Fairfield 14-6 on March 2.
