This editorial is in response to a few remarks made by Bryan Clark about Penn State's dance team. As a university alumnus, I find it appalling that another Penn State student would make such careless remarks about a group of young ladies.

Mr. Clark, you are obviously unaware of the dedication, hard work and talent that it takes to dance as a unit as the dance team does. Just like any other varsity sports team at Penn State, the team puts in numerous hours a day to perform for fans such as yourself. They get no funding or benefits, but they still go out every day and perform. I am quite sure you have no idea what it takes to be able to dance, but these ladies don't just dance. They are exceptional students along with many other outside commitments and activities, three of whom have a chance to represent Pennsylvania in the Miss America Pageant this year.

Instead of using your "brilliant" words to put down fellow Nittany Lions in the Collegian, use them to "cheer on our Lions and display team spirit" as you said in your letter and as the dance team does. But I do understand that this could be difficult task seeing that you felt you had to disparage other students who are nothing but supportive for Penn State athletics and who desire to continuously build tradition and success.
