Today's University Park forecast
partly cloudy Seasonal temperatures and some sun will be in store as students depart State College today for Spring Break. Clouds will increase tonight as a low pressure system approaches the region from the southwest. Although this storm will have gathered plenty of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, temperatures on Saturday will be too warm for snow to fall across the majority of Pennsylvania. However, if you’re heading northward this weekend, snow will likely play a factor in your travel plans.

Highlight

The cold front that moved through Happy Valley on Wednesday delivered chilly air for much of the East Coast and Southeast. Many areas in the south attained record-setting minimum temperatures as winter finally showed some of its fury. Tallahassee, Florida reached a record low of 18 degrees Fahrenheit last night, which could result in possible crop damage. Another slight freeze was forecasted for last night but expect temperatures to return to seasonal by spring break.
