Letter to the Editor
Making anything suffer is never ethical, moral

I am replying to Ellen Seconi's letter. She claims that animals are necessary for medical research.

In addition, she assumes that individuals opposed to animal research would rather have humans as the subjects of research. Contrary to her assumption, the main issue is whether it is ethical to make another species suffer. It isn't ethical to research upon humans, which are a species capable of feeling pain, unless consent is provided.

How is it any more ethical to test on an animal that is capable of feeling the same pain we feel just because they are voiceless?
