Prelude to Thon
The 2002 Interfraternity Council/Panhellenic Dance Marathon got underway Friday night in Rec Hall. The 48-hour no sitting, no sleeping fundraising event began at 7 p.m., nearly two hours after hundreds of enthusiastic people flooded in to Rec Hall to get a seat for the opening entertainment. Many events are planned for the weekend, culminating with the announcement on Sunday of how much money was raised for the Four Diamonds Fund for children with cancer.
