Today's University Park forecast
partly cloudy The high pressure system with its attending fair weather that was enjoyed yesterday will slowly progress to the east, allowing a southwest flow to bring us an unseasonably warm day today. Clouds will be on the increase into the late afternoon, as showers push into our region overnight tonight and into tomorrow, bringing some beneficial rainfall. Temperatures will remain above average for the next several days as the system clears the coast by late week.

Highlight

With snow being a major part of Michigan’s climate, the state has now begun to use it in an innovative way. Instead of sitting around and waiting for it to melt, engineers have designed and constructed “snow houses.” These houses are made entirely of snow and contain sculptures and furniture made of ice. The houses have become a popular tourist attraction that demonstrates the creativity of snow.
