Andrew Goldberg was arraigned Monday on drug and criminal conspiracy charges that connect him to an alleged drug ring accused of trafficking Ecstasy, cocaine and marijuana in State College during the 1998 to 1999 school year.
According to police reports, Goldberg was receiving weekly deliveries of 150 pills of Ecstasy and one ounce of cocaine at Acacia fraternity, 234 Locust Lane. Justin Sterling, who was arraigned last week, is also accused of receiving Ecstasy and cocaine at the Acacia fraternity address. Sterling is named in Goldberg's police report.
The drugs were brought into the Penn State fraternity system and State College through two men, Oleg "Alex" Logatchev and Jeremy Crouse, according to the report. The two were indicted on federal drug charges in Pittsburgh last month. In State College alone the men are suspected of bringing 98,000 pills of Ecstasy and 56 ounces of cocaine, police said.
