Business seminars open to the public

The University Libraries William and Joan Schreyer Business Library is offering three hands-on seminars open to the public. The first seminar, “Investments,” will take place from 4 to 5:30 p.m. tomorrow in 302 Paterno Library. It will cover investment resources available in the Business Library and on the Internet. Those in attendance will be taught the basics of the securities markets and how to conduct research on stocks, mutual funds and other equities.

The second seminar, "Career Information," will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 19 in 302 Paterno Library and will focus on exploring careers, researching companies and industries, finding job openings, developing resumes and cover letters, and preparing for job interviews.

The final seminar, "Searching for Patents and Trademarks," will run from 4 to 5:30 p.m. on March 25 in 302 Paterno Library, and it will highlight the library's role as a United States patent and trademark depository library. Attendees will learn how to utilize resources in the business library and on the Internet to research patents and trademarks.

No registration is required to attend.
