Bus route inconvenient, will be worse with cuts
This morning, 40 people were left behind at my Vairo Blvd bus stop. About 15 people were left behind at the stop just before mine too. Some gave up on trying to make it to class and went home, but most of us just stood there and waited for the next bus that would come a half hour later. This daily frustration occurs on a regular basis on the V-Route. After weeks of watching one overfilled bus after another pass by without stopping, I decided to call CATA and complain yet again, so they could get their act together and realize that more buses are needed in the morning if they want to accommodate riders. I was even more upset when I got to campus (late, of course) and read that CATA wants to cut back on the V-Route! They want to cut back when they can't even get the job done in the first place? AND they want us to pay more for it? With the upcoming price-hike, CATA better start using the money to issue late passes and absence notes, cause there is no reason why leaving over an hour early to catch what should be a five minute bus ride should leave you left by the side of the road.
