Attraction involves more than looks, intelligence
In Colleen Sullivan's article reviewing the movie, Orange County, I found a point she made to be rather disturbing. She found the idea of a "skinny, somewhat cute, admissions secretary" having relations with the the character played by Jack Black, to be "fantastical." I find that hard to believe. Maybe the character saw something in him that no one else saw. Who is to say that one has sex with another just based on appearance? There are other underlying traits involved. Personality and such plays a major role. Sullivan describes Black's character as a "druggie" and "unpleasing to the eye." Appearance, habits or even GPA should not factor into one's portrayal of another human being. Maybe this movie can teach people that lesson. Daniel Keane
