UHS helps PSU
smokers quit

"Who Wants to Be a Survivor: The Quit and Win Challenge," sponsored by University Health Services, begins Feb. 1. In its second year running, the challenge encourages students to quit smoking.

If a student has not quit smoking, he or she can sign up on the UHS Web site at www.sa.psu.edu/UHS/quitandwin.shtml.

For those that have already quit smoking, "Lifeline Coaches" are needed to motivate those trying to stop. Sign-up for coaches is also on the UHS Web site. There will be a training session prior to Feb. 1.

Students trying to quit will begin their task with a kick-off lunch on Feb. 1. UHS will provide carbon monoxide readings, survivor quits, daily e-mail motivators, coaches, and support throughout the month.
