Student must join USG if change is desired

I am responding to David Davis' comments in the article Erica Zarra wrote Friday. Davis, who is secretary of Black Caucus, said that, "The senate...does not accurately represent the student body."

If you feel you have something to offer the USG, or that you are not represented, then join them and make a difference from the inside instead of complaining from the outside that you are not represented.

Also, Davis said "his group (Black Caucus) would never ask the senate for money because the caucus is convinced they will be denied funding."

How can you say that if you do not ask?

If you don't ask, the answer is always no. It's a pretty simple equation my mom taught me years ago.
