Today's University Park forecast
cloudyThe warm air that melted much of the snowpack yesterday has yielded to more seasonal temperatures today as colder air enters Happy Valley. After a calm start to the weekend, we can expect the chance of flurries Sunday as winds blow from the northwest across Lake Erie. Monday brings a better possibility for snow as a low pressure system from Canada will travel across the Northeast.

Highlight

While temperatures begin to feel a bit more wintry in State College today, other areas of the United States remain quite warm. Earlier this week, westerly winds known as chinooks flowed down the Rocky Mountains and brought record high temperatures to much of the upper Midwest. This warm pattern isn’t predicted to change in the near future, as arctic air remains locked in northern Canada
