Letter to the Editor
Letter misinterprets anti-abortion stance

I found Mr. Weaver's response article to be negligent, argumentative and completely misleading. He built his contention around the statement that "pro-choicers (do not) see the abortion issue as a matter of life or death", then goes on to say abortions should be legal because of his concern for back-alley deaths. The argument stands feebly on the assumption that the fetus is not the equivalent of a human life. Finally, I took offense to being called a hypocrite for believing in adoption as an alternative to abortion. I must assume then, that all people that support alternative lifestyles must be living them -- or that all people that are pro-choice are having abortions.
