Police Log

  • Criminal Mischief: A fire on the 100 block of Huntington Park Drive caused minor damage to a building, the State College Police Department said.

    Police who investigated the scene found the fire to have been set deliberately and continue to investigate the fire, police said.

  • Theft: A CD case containing 120 CDs was stolen from an unlocked car on the 400 block of Westerly Parkway, State College police said.

    The goods are valued at $1,590, police said.

  • Theft: A hunting camp on the 200 block of Corner Road was broken into on Monday, State College police said. Items stolen from the camp included a television and remote control, a stereo, a miter saw and a circular saw, police said.

    The estimated value of the stolen property is $1,100, police said.

  • Theft: A Penn State staff member reported the theft of a stanchion from the ground floor of the HUB-Robeson Center on Monday morning, Penn State Police Services said.

    The incident occurred sometime between Oct. 5 and 8, police said. The estimated value of the stanchion is $1,000, police said.

  • Traffic Crash: A visitor to Penn State reported Monday morning that his car was struck while it was parked in the Bryce Jordan Center East lot, sometime between 11 p.m. and 12 a.m. Thursday, Penn State police said.

    The estimated damages are about $300, police said.
