Attorney General Mike Fisher announced Friday that drug and morals charges were filed against Barry L. Bender, 54, of Tyrone, according to a press release from his office. Bender is a medical doctor at the Tyrone Medical Associates. Bender allegedly supplied cocaine, Ecstasy, marijuana and alcohol to minors at parties in Blair and Clinton counties between 1993 and 2001. Bender faces charges including: nine counts of illegal delivery of a controlled substance, four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, five counts of corruption of minors, two counts of indecent assault, two counts of prescription of a controlled substance outside medical treatment standards, one count of prostitution and three counts of illegally providing alcohol to a minor, Fisher said.
