Student was sad prior to disappearance

The 21-year-old Penn State student who has been missing since the early morning hours of Nov. 1 was depressed prior to her disappearance, police said yesterday.

According to a Ferguson Township Police Department press release, friends of Cindy Song told investigators that she was upset. Police are continuing to investigate her disappearance. They describe Song as a Korean woman with straight dark hair and medium complexion. She is about five feet one inch tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a short white skirt, pink shirt, brown boots and red hooded coat. Song also has her ears and bellybutton pierced. Police are considering her disappearance suspicious and have not ruled out foul play; however, there has been no hard evidence to conclude whether it existed.

Song has not attended any of her classes since her disappearance and has not shown up to work. She has not accessed any of her credit cards or bank account.

Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Brian Sprinkle of the Ferguson Township Police at 812-237-1172 or 1-800-479-0050.
