A concert with the theme "A Call to Remembrance" will be performed by the Penn State University Choir at 5 p.m. Sunday in Esber Recital Hall in Music Building I.
The fall concert is dedicated to the victims of the Sept. 11 tragedy.
Under the direction of Tony Leach, assistant professor of music, the choir will perform Gabriel Faure's "Requiem."
This selection will feature organist Kristen Diehl. It will also feature baritone Robert Trehy, a retired Penn State School of Music faculty member.
The choir is dedicating their performance of "Requiem" to the memory of Raymond Brown, the former director of choral activities at Penn State.
The choir's performance of "Song of Democracy" by Howard Hanson will feature Melissa Frederick on the piano.
Also performing at the concert is Sine Nomine, conducted by Jill Tocket.
Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the door and cost $2 for students and $4 for the general public.
