Lecture boycott ironic, ignores point of issue

I find it rather ironic that there are people going around campus trying to start a boycott of the Objectivist Club speech on the evils of multiculturalism. This inane effort just makes the multiculturalism movement look all the more misguided. If they are so right and confident in their beliefs, then why are they so afraid of the other side being presented?

Could it possibly be that multiculturalists know that their ideas are morally bankrupt and are afraid of letting the truth be known? It is shameful that in order to maintain this charade of righteousness the multiculturalists have to silence all other viewpoints, lest the truth be known.

The objectivist solution to racism is very simple. We seek to defend the smallest minority on the face of the earth: the minority of the individual.

One cannot claim to defend any minority without recognizing that an individual is an end in himself.

Listen to Radio Free Penn State at 5 p.m. and come to our speech in the HUB and hear the other side to this argument. Use your rational mind to hear all sides and then make a determination.

Penn State Objectivist Club Treasurer
