Patton township man held police at stand-off

A Patton township man was arraigned on several charges, after armed with a rifle, he held off Patton Township Police during a five-hour stand-off outside of his home at 1857 N. Atherton St.

Scott Auman, 35 was transported to Centre Community Hospital after he surrendered to police. He was then arraigned on charges for reckless endangerment, resisting arrest and four counts of disorderly conduct, police said.

Auman was committed to Centre County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues, police said.

Although no shots were fired, residents nearby were evacuated and traffic was shut down during the stand-off as a precaution.
