Letter to the Editor
Forcing beliefs leaves students unhappy

I have had it. I am incredibly tired of people forcing their views on me. All over campus, I hear Christians trying to shove their beliefs in my face.

Whether it is Brother Jed or the guy down the hall with all the posters on his door, I don't like it. I have never seen members of any other religion try to impose their views on me.

Well, it is time for me to show what my views are. While I do consider myself Christian, I hold many views that very few other Christians hold. I am certain I will anger many people of various religions, but my intent is not to insult anyone. I believe that there is no correct religion. Religion is fluid.

Everyone sees it from different angles. I believe that the being I perceive as God is the same God that Muslims pray to.

I believe that those religions that have multiple gods, pray to various faces of my one God. I am not saying that those who pray to multiple gods are wrong.

They just see things differently than I do. Just as Hindus believe that there is no single way to achieve Nirvana, I believe there is no one way to get to heaven.
