Essence of Joy Choir's 'Time for Healing' dedicated to victims of Sept. 11 attacks

The Essence of Joy Choir will perform a concert titled "Time for Healing" at 4 p.m. on Sunday in Esber Recital Hall in Music Building I.

The concert is dedicated to the victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C.

Musical performances will include compositions by Moses Hogan, Roland Carter, Lena McLin, Robert Morris and others.

The program will feature solos by nine Penn State students.

The student performers will be under the direction of Tony Leach, assistant professor of music.

The Essence of Joy Choir is celebrating its 10th anniversary during the 2001-2002 academic year.

Tickets are $2 for students and $4 for non-students and may be purchased in advance or at the door.
