The community came together in Somerset yesterday to embrace what the sleek new wind turbines mean for the state — a renewable, emissions-free way to generate electricity.

Offended by the words of Christian preachers Brother Jed Smock and Bro Cope, the Muslim Students Association plans to address the recent debates outside Willard Building with Penn State President Graham Spanier.

WKPS-FM has been off the air since Monday because of technological and structural advances that the station is implementing.

This spring, the ducks of State College's pond will come home from a long winter in the South to an improved home.

The plan recommends that the large allocations UPAC gives out be limited, that students be given more access to how UPAC spends money and that UPAC be more flexible in following its own guidelines.

Rebecca Ho was born in Hong Kong and she spent her teenage years in Toronto. Calling her a native of either of those places would be wrong, though. Ho is the daughter of tennis.

Coaches in many sports would love to see balanced scoring from their teams. In a coach's dream world, even when her team's top players provide less offense than usual, supporting players would pick up the slack.

Midway through the Big Ten women's volleyball season, the improbable has happened: there is a clear-cut favorite.

The better part of our 1980s nostalgia has been reintroduced with the release of the complete first season of The Simpsons on DVD.

Given the title of the latest No On 15, EP Even a Trained Monkey Can Do It, one would think that perhaps the band enlisted help to add some extra energy. But no animals were harmed in the making of this CD, and the intensity comes solely from the band itself.

With just one play of the latest in the line of John Madden video games, Madden 2002 (EA Sports), it's evident that this game is head and shoulders above any other football video game.

Will the creative geniuses who cast Saturday Night Live members in films ever learn from their mistakes? Chris Kattan, a repertoire SNL actor, stars in Corky Romano, a slapstick mob comedy that falls a mile and a half short of critical acclamation.

With a slash to the throat and unspeakable atrocities, Jack the Ripper has made his way into the 21st century. The Hughes Brothers (Menace II Society, American Pimp) bring the story of the definitive murderer of the 19th century to screens in time for the Halloween.
