U.S. foreign policies should be questioned
In "Recognizing existence of evil first step in fight" Mr. Livingston calls my ideas evil and ludicrous without reason. In his opinion, any groups that bombs buildings with innocent people in them are not freedom fighters. We bombed a United Nations building and killed four innocent workers, so what does that say about the United States? Osama bin Laden's lack of morality doesn't mean his actions are without reason. He requests that we move our troops out of Islam. Mr. Livingston compares the recent events to the Holocaust. There is really very little political similarity in these situations besides the fact that innocent people are wrongly being killed. Politics is inherently subjective. Not everyone believes that United States policy is just, and that is why it should not always be followed blindly. The United States has done wrong things, from the genocide of the Native Americans to us killing even a few innocent people in Afghanistan. So, does that make America purely evil?
