'Allegiance' tour moved to Nov. 2 to give bands rest

The Bryce Jordan Center announced Tuesday that The Pledge of Allegiance Tour — featuring metal rockers Slipknot and System of a Down — has been moved from its original Oct. 26 date to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 2 at the center.

Bernie Punt, marketing manager for the center, said the tour was moved because the bands' members "needed some rest."

Joining the headlining acts are the Chicago-based hardcore rockers No One and the Minneapolis-based shockers American Head Charge. Rammstein and Mudvayne were originally on the bill but have since left the tour.

Priced at $37, tickets are on sale at the center, Eisenhower Auditorium, select Uni-Marts and Commonwealth Campus ticket outlets or by phone at 814-865-5555 or 800-863-3336. Tickets can also be purchased by visiting the center's Web site at www.bjc.psu.edu.
