Letter to the Editor
Military strikes needed to win war on terrorism
In response to Mona Khadr's letter in Friday's Collegian, I would like to state that I was indeed quoted correctly by Matt Hymowitz. I firmly believe that United States military strikes on these terrorist nations are necessary and justified. I also believe that Afghanistan should not be our only target in this war. Iran and Iraq have proven through their actions in the past that they actively support terrorism. In order to win the war against terrorism, the United States must end all terrorist nations, so I do believe that Iran and Iraq should be attacked as well. This is not a knee-jerk emotional response to the horrible acts of war on Sept. 11. If one objectively looks at the facts, it is clear that Afghanistan is not the only source of terrorism. If the United States is serious about winning the war on terrorism, it is a moral imperative that all other countries who support terrorism be attacked.
