Congratulations to the members of the Green Destiny for an outstanding presentation on Old Main lawn Thursday, and thank you for bringing the Mueller reports to the public's attention.

I think the event was extremely successful in raising awareness of our over- consumption on the Penn State campus.

It impressed me to see a coalition made up of students, faculty and administrators running the event. There was no scape-goating to be found on Thursday, only facts and solutions. That was perhaps the best part.

Professor Chris Uhl made a somewhat controversial yet fair connection, in my opinion, between our environmental inefficiency in America and the current global situation.

But what was most pleasing about the presentation was that the presenters supplied solutions.

I walked away from the event feeling motivated to change my habits of consumption.
