The Boston Pops will be starting the holiday season off with a bang when they play at 8 p.m. on Dec. 4 at The Bryce Jordan Center.
Conductor Keith Lockhart will lead the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra in the group's own highly acclaimed arrangements of seasonal favorites with holiday carols sung by Cape Cod-based chorus Gloriae Dei Cantores.
The group performs for a collective audience of 900,000 people annually and reaches many more through its television broadcasts, including Evening at Pops, shown nationally on PBS, and Pops Goes the Fourth! and Holiday at POPs, on A&E.
The performance at the center will mark the group's only show in Pennsylvania of the season, according to a Penn State press release.
Tickets for the show cost $39.50 and $49.50 for reserved seats. Limited VIP table seating is available at $89.50. A special holiday buffet can be ordered to complement the VIP seating.
Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the center, Eisenhower Auditorium, selected Uni-Marts, Commonwealth Campus ticket outlets, or charge by phone at (800) 863-3336 or (814) 865-5555, or on-line at www.bjc.psu.edu.
