There are some instances when a newspaper must refuse to print an article or advertisement. However, this was not the case with Leonard Peikoff's editorial.
Mr. Peikoff's unpopular political views certainly do not fit into The Daily Collegian's agenda, however, his opinion was thoughtfully well written and provided an oft overlooked point of view.
Amy Hibbard is concerned that the Objectivist article "suggests a course of action disregarding potential numerous innocent casualties (in the Middle East)." Is this discussion really such an "impediment on (our) rights and safety?" The people we are at war with certainly do not think so.
If the Collegian's business division sees it as its job to filter offensive advertisements from its paper, I suggest you begin your crusade by removing those salacious Sony Screenblast advertisements that seem to be on every other page.
