Two of Penn State's musical groups, Symphonic Band and Symphonic Wind Ensemble, will be joining together for a concert at 4 p.m. Sunday in Eisenhower Auditorium.
The Symphonic Band, which has 80 members, will perform several pieces in a concert band repertory including "Florentin-er March" by Julius Fucik, "Chorale and Alleluia" by Howard Hanson, "Bagatelles for Band" by Vincent Persichetti and "Moorside Suite" by Gustav Holst.
The highly select 40-member Symphonic Wind Ensemble is set to perform "Tocatta Marziale" by Ralph Vaughan Williams, "Al Fresco" by Karel Husa, "Profanation" by Leonard Bernstein and "Komm', Susser Tod" by J.S. Bach.
Both groups will be under the direction of associate professor of music, Dennis Glocke.
Tickets are $5 for general admission and $3.50 for PSU students.
