This weekend's Penn State Nike Classic has been cancelled following Tuesday's tragedies in New York and Washington.

The No. 16 Penn State men's soccer team was scheduled to take on Duquesne tonight at Jeffrey Field and face Boston College on Saturday. No. 13 Ohio State was also set to take part in the Classic.

The Nittany Lions went 2-0 in last year's Penn State Nike Classic, defeating the College of Charleston and Virginia Commonwealth.

No make-up games have been announced. The team is scheduled to resume play next Friday, when it takes on Southwest Missouri State in the Ohio State Nike Classic in Columbus.

Also postponed for the weekend is the Penn State women's soccer game against Harvard. The Lions were set to take on the Crimson at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Jeffrey Field. It has not been determined whether the game will be rescheduled.

The Lions game against James Madison that was scheduled for yesterday has been rescheduled for 5 p.m. on Monday at Jeffrey Field.
