Women's soccer starter will sit out JMU game

The Penn State women's soccer starting defender senior Gillian Samuel will miss tomorrow's game against James Madison at Jeffrey Field. She sprained her left ankle in Sunday's 3-0 loss to North Carolina.

Samuel missed all of last season after tearing an anterior cruciate ligament while training with the Canadian National team. She is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Harvard.

Freshman Lindsay Bach is expected to take her place in the starting lineup.

Also expected to miss tomorrow's game will be freshman defender Stephanie Pezzullo, who is out indefinitely with an undisclosed illness.
