Letter to the Editor
Citizens must offer help, not blame after attack

I was shocked and appalled to hear of the terrorist actions that occurred yesterday morning, as I'm sure all of you were. At a time like this it may seem rational to some to start placing blame on someone or something.

I am of course referring to blame within the country. Right now the most important issue should not be to place blame, but rather to help the community. I was in awe when I saw how long the line was to give blood at the HUB yesterday. That was one of the greatest examples of unity I have seen. I urge all of you if you have not donated blood to do so and within your clubs to brainstorm ideas on how to raise money to care for the injured.

Placing blame and shouting at each other will only keep us from helping those who need us most right now and make us weaker as a nation.
