Police Log

  • Arrest: A visitor to Penn State reported two males would not leave their tailgate at about midnight Saturday in the Stadium West parking area, Penn State Police Services said.

    Upon an officer's arrival, Penn State student Thomas M. Montemayor II attempted to flee the area, proceeded to struggle with officers and then actively resisted arrest, police said. Montemayor was arraigned before District Judge Carmine Prestia and jailed in lieu of $20,000 bail, police said.

  • Theft: A student reported Thursday the theft of the rear tire and derailer from his bicycle outside Simmons Hall, Penn State police said.

    The theft occurred sometime between 11 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday, police said. Estimated value of the items is $330.

  • Theft: A Penn State student reported the theft of several personal belongings on Tuesday morning from his apartment on the 100 block of Keller Street, the State College Police Department said.

    The student left for the weekend without locking the apartment and upon his return, found a winter jacket, several fleece pullovers, shirts, jeans and about 60 CDs missing, police said.

    The estimated value of the items is undetermined, police said.
