On most of this summer's hot, muggy days, Kimberly Flick can be found kneeling on the hard cement of Calder Way, painting the side of a crumbling building.

We all know Indiana Jones never had a thing for snakes.

Thoughts of making it big always fill the minds of small town bands across the country. Beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday at Tussey Mountain Amphitheater, the Bud Light Band Bash, sponsored by Bud Light and WQWK-FM (97.1) Rock is offering seven local bands a foot in the door.

Is that a dead body lying on the floor?

The State College Community Theatre will be performing William Gibson's The Miracle Worker at 8:30 p.m. today and tomorrow at the Boal Barn Playhouse in Boalsburg.

When Jurassic Park first hit theaters in 1993, I remember standing in line on opening day with hundreds of other kids for more than an hour, hoping for the first chance to catch the must-see flick of the summer. When I finally got inside the only seats left were in the front row, but for two hours a stiff neck didn't matter because Jurassic Park was the ultimate action movie.
